MD Afsar Hussain
Ten years architecting enterprise systems at SAP taught MD Afsar Hussain that the surface is never the hard part — the foundation under it is. Flocci Bento looks like a friendly drag-and-drop grid maker, yet under the canvas runs banking-grade session security and an audit trail on nearly every edit. Serious infrastructure, wearing a playful face.
Why Flocci Bento exists
A person, a product, a portfolio is not a stack of identical buttons — it has proportion, and the arrangement of big next to small is where meaning lives. MD Afsar Hussain built Bento to make that proportion buildable: a grid-native canvas (on react-grid-layout, so the grid is the substrate, not an afterthought) where panels hold real Recharts charts, clean SVG device mockups, inline rich text and cropped images — a metric you earned, sized to matter, not screenshotted and pasted in blurry. It is the same instinct a decade of enterprise architecture drilled in: compose the important thing at full resolution, and let the tool understand rows and columns so you never fight it.
From SAP's enterprise core to 80+ products
A B.Tech from BIT Mesra and an M.Tech from BITS Pilani set the foundation for more than ten years as a senior engineer at SAP Labs India — SAP BusinessObjects Cloud, a petabyte-scale data infrastructure, and SAP Cloud ALM used by millions across 100+ countries. Then MD Afsar Hussain left to prove one architect could build an entire ecosystem on a single shared foundation: ERP, POS, HRMS, D2C, work apps and AI — every vertical launching in weeks, not years.
An architect's paranoia, hidden under a toy
The tell that an SAP architect built Bento is what you never see. Its auth isn't a plain access/refresh pair — it's family-based refresh-token rotation with reuse detection: replay a rotated token and Bento assumes a break-in and torches the whole token family, attacker and user alike. Its schema already models audit, telemetry, webhook and idempotency tables at v0.1 — described in the Flocci knowledge base as the most Graph-ready schema in the estate. And the same discipline shapes the felt experience: human edits, undo/redo, and the AI's suggestions all travel as JSON-Patch operations through one mutation pipeline, so the AI edits your document instead of handing back a rival draft. One shared foundation, one vocabulary — the enterprise habit, running quietly beneath a drag-and-drop canvas.
